Battlefield Redsec map guide: Fort Lyndon locations & drop zone tips
Fort Lyndon is the central battleground of Battlefield: RedSec, a sprawling coastal city mixing dense urban warfare, industrial sectors, and mountainous highlands.
Whether you’re dropping in for Battle Royale or testing tactics in Gauntlet, knowing how to land, loot, and move between zones can decide your squad’s survival.
How to Drop In: Battlefield Redsec
When a Battle Royale match begins, your squad boards an infiltration aircraft flying across Fort Lyndon.
Here’s how the drop system works:
- Squad Leader System:
- One player in your duo or squad is automatically assigned as Squad Leader.
- The Leader controls when the group jumps from the plane. When they hit “Jump,” all squad members leap simultaneously.
- Non-leaders can “Break Away” mid-drop to choose their own landing spot, but for beginners, staying with your Leader is safer.
- Parachuting:
- Parachutes deploy automatically near the ground unless you disable Auto-Deploy.
- You can open them early for a safer descent but risk landing later and missing the best loot.
- Glide toward rooftops, upper decks, or open courtyards — early positioning helps secure high-tier weapons.
- Landing Tips:
- Avoid hot zones at the flight path’s start — mid-route drops are often quieter.
- Prioritize areas near Class Crates or Vehicles for mobility and gear advantage.
- Communicate before jumping — your survival often depends on syncing with your teammate.
